Coors Autumn Series 3rd Race
Plym Yacht Club delayed the Coors Autumn series start to allow the yachts already racing in the sound to join in. Yet again, braving the forecast, a combined fleet of eighteen yachts started in the strong South Westerly gusting 24 knots. The bias on the line tempted many of the fleet to the pin end of the line. Lots of shouted claims for water were denied and several had to peel away and join in at the back of the fleet. First mark, Queens ground split the fleet either side of the incoming tidal stream. A fetch to Dukes rock with a spinnaker leg back round the Mallards completed the first round. With drizzle threatening, the club open and chips on the bar it was a the same decision as last week, stay or back to the club.
