Coors Autumn Series 4th Race

Back on the usual start time 14:00, 12 yachts started in a strong Southerly gusting 10 to 15 knots. With the first mark Kildare, it was a tactical decision to be at the pin end of the line avoiding the tidal stream. As with last week some of the fleet split early on trying to find the best tidal conditions. The down wind leg to Dunstone crossed the incoming tidal stream and ventured into the back eddy in Jennicliffe Bay. The fetch to the Mallards was too fine for some of the masthead spinnakers and that completed the first round. Was the wind falling or rising, should it be one round or two. Two it was and off they went again.
