Coors Autumn Series Final Race

The morning started out with a good westerly breeze, sun and showers all the way until half an hour from the start. With the breeze falling away to nothing for the start, the tide approaching slack water, an interesting start ensued. Imelda took a line, and the lead close to the MB breakwater and then into the sound out of the remaining tide. Heading for F buoy, the fleet at times had boats beating to all points. Half way along the leg and clouds brought the wind back from the west. Filling in from the back of the fleet, spinnakers sprouted and the lead changed. Plymouth Yacht haven Quay kindly offered pontoon space for those boats going back for the race prize giving and refreshments after the race.
