Cadets Presentation

Cadet Presentation Evening

Friday 4th March 2022
18:00 to 20:00
A busy evening for the club with cadets, parents and invited guests.
The presentation will be downstairs in the bar area and buffet upstairs.

Following a successful season on the water in 2021 as a newly accredited RYA Training Centre (RTC), and a club-based winter programme nearing completion which included a recent visit to the Plymouth University Simulator, the club is hosting the Cadets new-look Presentation Evening.

Starting at 1800, the cadets will be presented with their certificates and logbooks in recognition of their achievements over the season. New Perpetual Trophies, commissioned through Murray Baker, with additional trophies donated by a generous benefactor, will among others, be presented to the Best Junior Cadet, Best Senior Cadet and Best Cadet Overall. Lorna Nourse from Yacht Haven Quay, and Richard Allen, Cattewater Harbourmaster, will present the certificates and trophies, with our Commodore Alan Nosworthy presenting the Powerboat 2 certificates to those parents who support us on the water, having passed the course at the end of last season. Additional guests include Micky Goble (Pier Master for Plymouth City Council), Sam Marshall (DinghyShack) and Vic Benton (who monitors the dinghy park) for their support of both Plym YC and the Cadets. Thanks must also be made here for the additional safety support provided by Mark Prue and Chris Reilly from Hooe Pt SC.
Plym Yacht Club Cadets plan to be on the water again by April 12th.
Malcolm Wood (RTC Training Principal)
