2019 Imapala Nationals Podium for PYC Members

Two crews from Plym Yacht Club journeyed to Weymouth last week with their Impalas for the 2019 Impala National Championships which ran from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st with 8 races sailed.

In what looks like near champagne sailing conditions, from the weather reports, both boats Impulsive and Imelda sailed very well with neither boat dropping below a 5th place finish in any race.

In the end Dominic Hanley's crew on Impulsive produced great consistency by finishing in the top 3 for each race and came out ahead taking second overall.

Robbie Boalch and the crew on Imelda also turned in a consistent series but just behind the leaders. Imelda was unlucky to miss out on a third overall series position just slipping into fourth spot at the end of the event yesterday.

Congratulations to both teams putting in great performances and showing what Plymouth yachts can bring to an event.
