Growing in popularity with 15 starters. Wide range of boats had two races on the day with individual starts. Light wind but sufficient to race. Good weather considering no wind on the days before and after race day.
Chris Compton handled the initial handicaps based on the PPSA December 18th list where possible. With the first race of just under 2 hours. Paddy O’Conner adjusted the handicaps based on the results of the first race. The deciding second race was just under the hour. Mountbatten Start box had a crew of Mike Pearson (RO), Paddy, Sally and Kevin Warley and Cyn.
With pontoon space for race boats provided by Yacht Haven Dry Stack, the boat crews headed back to Langs House. Where excellent food was provided by Paddy and Kevin. Alan and Jon were kept busy behind the bar with the club packed.
An excellent days racing with the top three boats all level on points and only be separated by timings. The first four boats all finished within a minute. Prizes were presented for the first boat in each race and the first three boats overall. An excellent prize giving and a great atmosphere.
