Charities win at 2019 Quiz Challenge Shield

The hard fought series culminated on Tuesday the 12th March at Langs House. Long standing Quiz master Pat Maunder presented the Plym Yacht Club Quiz Challenge Shield to “Better Than Staying in”. They took a convincing win on the final quiz from “McWarley” and “Magic Roundabout” who took 2nd and 3rd respectively. The winning teams donated their cash prizes to charity with the PYC Defibrilator fund and RNLI sharing the donations.

Commodore, Allan Nosworthy presented a bouquet of flowers and thanked Pat on behalf of the club and teams for another well questioned series of quizzes.

Following the quiz a raffle of donated prizes took place with the proceeds going towards the PYC Defibrillator.

Installed at the club entrance, the Defibrillator is already there when needed. Regular training sessions take place for volunteers from the club and community. Contact the club for details here.
