A flying pilot !

Great team work from the Plym Yacht Club volunteers supported by our sponsor PYH Quay Dry Stack. The Pilot boat, was showing its age despite the work done by Bosun’s past. With over Thirty years service with the Club It needed some TLC. So the budget was agreed. A team of volunteers was put together. The hard work then started over the winter between 2021-2022. Culminating in the launch day. Thank you PYH Quay Drystack for providing the sedate launch, storage, movements afloat and in the yard .

The impressive refit by a team that included Chris Cload who replaced, refurbished and fitted all the wood work. Ably assisted by Kelvin Crago who also rewired and refitted all the electrical fittings. Capping it by applying the antifoul, not a job many would do. Mike Pearson applied the many coats of paint to all the internal woodwork. Special thanks to Rob Thomas for removing and cleaning all the fittings, refurbishing and cleaning the engine, various glass fibre repairs and constructing a new tiller. All that whilst supplying all the equipment required.
